Lego Build

Last Tuesday Kahea invited the boys and I to come with them to the Lego Store's monthly build. Here's what happens:

1. You wait in line (while waiting we did homework, ate pretzels and built Evan's legos)

2. A Lego Store employee comes around and gives each kid a card with a picture on it. The picture is of the lego they are going to build.
Notice Kahea's kids were smiling nicely the whole time. Mine - not so much.

3. Then a Lego employee gives each kid a Lego magazine to try to distract us from the fact that we have been waiting in line a while. It worked with everyone except Evan. It just made Evan want every lego in the store (especially the Star Wars ones).4. Then they split everyone into groups and give each kid a bag with the appropriate legos. Then we were assigned a table and a Lego expert.

The boys were impressed that Ashton finished his in no time. Since there were no directions, it was really impressive. Evan didn't even try to do his. He browsed around the store instead - desperately looking for a Lego Darth Vader figure.

They got to keep their finished products - which was a blackbird.

The Lego Store does it for free the first Tuesday of each month.

Next month I won't be bringing Evan due to him throwing way too many fits and whining way too much. The other boys had a great time.
