Max's last fieldtrip of the year was at Polar Ice. This is Max with his best buds Tarun and Jace. I'm not sure who the boy on the end is.

Max and Tarun together are major goof balls.

Apparently Max likes to give Tarun piggy back rides. They were cracking me up.

First, we went on a tour. This is a picture of the zamboni. Or whatever it's called. Sadly the kids weren't impressed - they just wanted to skate.

Case, Tarun and Max getting ready to skate.

I was so proud of Max. Most of his friends caught on quickly and skated away. Max had a little trouble.

He would stand up, skate a little, start flailing, then fall on his butt. But he always got back up - he never gave up.

Kahea came to the rescue! She helped Max find his center of gravity.

I love this picture - and I didn't recognize Jonah at first with his new haircut. What a handsome dude!

I had to include this picture. See that adorable girl on the far right? Max's aide told me that her and Max are good friends. I'm glad he is still at the age where he can be friends with a girl without worrying about being teased. They were really cute together on the fieldtrip.

Notice the angle of this picture. I took it from the cold, icy floor where I fell. It wasn't pretty because I tried to catch myself - which made me fall harder. 3 different adults came over to see if I was ok. My pride was the only thing I injured.

I had so much fun with Max. I was so proud of him for not giving up - he must have fallen 50 times. He's an awesome kid.
