A few weeks ago...

we were invited to attend Liam's baptism. My boys were so excited. I love this picture of these two boys who have been friends since birth. Max can't wait until it's his turn.

Tiffany got suits for all 3 of her boys. Elliott was so excited to show his off. Doesn't he look handsome?

The baptism was awesome (except for the 50 times that Evan needed to go out). Tiffany's mom and Holly both gave excellent talks and Ian was honored to be asked to be a part of the circle to confirm Liam.

Afterwards, I wanted to take a family picture. What a great lookin' bunch! Also, doesn't Tiffany look gorgeous? That girl sure knows how to put together an outfit.
After the baptism, Tiffany and Jason had everyone over for lunch and swimming. My boys were counting down the days. Everyone had a great time.

They also rented an awesome waterslide. I think Evan spent most of his time on it. I wanted to go on it, but I chickened out.

Tayler and some of her friends.

Ummm....look at this super cute purse. I know we're not supposed to covet but....
Evan was waiting for the "big blue chair". He was so excited when it was finally his turn.

We had so much fun. I spent most of the time catching up with friends and Ian spent the whole time chatting with Jason. The boys didn't want to leave- in fact I think we were the last ones to go.

It's been wonderful watching Liam grow and being able to see him be baptized. Congratulations Liam!

Green eyes

When Ian and I first got together, it took us a little while to have our first kiss. He kept teasing me about it - he'd kiss my ear or my cheek. It drove me crazy.

I think that was the idea.

One night, right before he was due to go on a snowboard trip, he kissed me for the first time in the basement of my parent's house. He left to go snowboarding the next day and it all felt like a dream.

The day he got home he called me. He said, "I had a dream that before I left I kissed the most beautiful girl in the world."

Sometimes I think about that and it makes me smile.

He doesn't buy me the best presents. He doesn't remember my birthday, our anniversary or mother's day like I think he should.

The other day we were at church and he looked over at me and said, "I can't believe the most beautiful girl in this room is my wife."

When it comes down to it, I know he loves me. And that's the best present I could ever ask for.

P.S. Ian says every time he hears this song he thinks of me. :)

Work Par-tay

A few Fridays ago, all my work peeps went bowling to mourn the loss of Dr. Lambson - he's moving to Texas (as before mentioned). Here is a picture of a few of my favorite work people - Penny, Dr. V & Nancy.

Dr. L & Chris - I love this picture because it looks like Chris is picking his nose. Chris is really going to miss talking football with Dr. L.
Jessica & Suzy:
Suzy is my best friend at work. I really wish we worked together more. And Jessica was my number one cheerleader when I killed Chris in bowling. Chris and I had a little bet going and a Macy's giftcard was on the line! I really couldn't have won without Jessica heckling Chris and cheering me on!

Stacy & Tricia:

Penny, Dianne, Dr. V, Connie & Helen:

I look kinda sad in this picture. I must have been losing then.

The whole group (minus Suzy who left to watch her son play volleyball).

Dr. V made me pose in front of my final score holding my bowling ball and the Macy's gift card I won. I believe I bowled a 154. I must admit I acted a little childish when I won - jumping up and down and screaming. I was so excited!
It was such a fun night - and a great way to send off Dr. L.

Liam turns 8

A few weeks ago Liam celebrated his 8th birthday at Extreme Air.
First up was the velcro wall. The kids took turns putting on velcro suits and them jumping up against the wall.
It was as awesome as it sounds.

My camera wasn't cooperating that day so I didn't get the pictures I wanted, but you get the idea.

They even had adult suits! Tiffany and I want to go back :)

Next up were the foam skateboards.

That way the boys could skate on the trampolines.

Max taking a turn on the velcro wall:

After that the boys jumped and played some dodgeball. Then it was time for pizza, presents and cake!

Blowing out the candles:

Max had a blast! Happy Birthday Liam!

Farewell

After I got back for my girls weekend, we had an FHE/Farewell party at my mom and dad's for Jared and Tricia. They are moving to Texas.

My mom and dad talked about how no matter where we are we are still a family. And we will always love and support each other.

Anna was a little emotional. She doesn't want to move :(

My mom had everyone bring something to put into a Texas care package for their family. We brought hairspray and a football movie - two things they you need to survive in Texas.
Anna giving Grandpa a hug.

James was all smiles - he loves to hang out with his cousins.

The family is not going to be the same without them.

My mom and I are already planning a roadtrip out there. We wish them the best of luck!

At the Ho

For Mother's Day weekend, Tiffany got passes to a spa event. She was also able to get a room at the Valley Ho (a super awesome retro hotel in Scottsdale). Woo hoo!!! We had such a great time. Here are Penny and Lisa posing while Tiffany was checking in: I love Lisa's Blue Steel face.

Then we checked into our super cool room. I loved the decor (which you can't really see in any of these pictures - but trust me, it was cool).
Sooo....we went to the spa event - walked around a bit and got a bag full of free loot. Then we sat in the car and giggled over all of our stuff. It was like Christmas morning! There was a coupon for a free blow-out, a coupon for a facial, philosophy mosturizer, perfume...and much more! Here's a picture of some of the stuff:

After the event we went to dinner at that super good mexican food restaurant that we had went to back in October. I forgot the name. We had so much fun chatting and being silly. Our waiter brought us a free dessert because we were so charming. Then we ventured over to Fashion Square to see "Something Borrowed" at the movie theater. After we headed back to our hotel and chatted until the wee hours. I think I fell asleep around 1:30 but Lisa and Tiffany were still chatting away.

The next morning we checked out and had breakfast at a cute little joint called Butterfields. The strawberry shortcake pancakes were AWESOME. Like super duper awesome. And then we headed over to Anthropologie. I think the salespeople there thought we were a little crazy because we'd try something on and then congregate in Lisa's dressing room - giving each other critiques. I got a pair of $165 Citizen of Humanity jeans for $20. I'm not lying. We all got some awesome deals.

One of my favorite parts of the day was at the end when we went to Target. Lisa was desperate to buy something - the only thing she had bought so far was a pair of pants at Anthro for $20. We kept encouraging her to try things on. But she didn't want to use the dressing room - so she tried a skirt on in the back of the women's section with me, Tiffany and Penny standing around her. I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time. I will forever have a picture of Lisa shimming over to the mirror with her pants around her ankles. Awesome.

Now that summer is around the corner, I hope to hang out with these girls more.

Thank you Tiffany for a great weekend!
