Friday night, a few of us girls went to dinner and to see Twilight. I thought is was pretty good. Cheesy, yes. But good. I thought the chemistry between Bella and Edward was perfect. Although the vampires in general (and especially Jasper) tended to over-act. I'm not sure if that was the director's or the actors' fault(s). If you haven't read the book - I wouldn't recommend seeing it. On a scale of one to ten (ten being the best) I give it a 7. I'm hoping the movies will improve - I hear they are already writing the screenplays for New Moon and Eclipse.

Good Times
I love making lists. It makes me feel responsible and organized. The problem is, if I do 2 or 3 things at the top of the list then I feel like I need to reward myself. And nothing else gets done. And my house looks like a tornado hit and there's some sticky crap on my kitchen floor that I can't get rid of. But atleast I went grocery shopping and prepared my lesson for YW (that's right! I'm back with the girls! although I do miss nursery...) Friday I had lots on my lists. Instead I went shopping with Jill all day. Poor Jill....on our first outing I had Max and Evan. They definitely slowed us down. But she was a great sport. On our second outing I only had Evan and she had her 2 kids - which was awesome because they kept Evan occupied.Friday night Tiffany and I headed to Borders for the Breaking Dawn release party. We got there about 9:30 and started looking around. I had to take a picture of one of the pop-out books we found...now I know what I'm getting Ian for Christmas (I'm not kidding). When we realized we were some of the oldest (and sanest) people there we decided to leave for a while and go eat somewhere. I took a picture of our waiter making us guacamole. Mmmm....... We got back to Borders and got our books around 12:15 a.m. Then we sat in the car for a while so Tiffany could read the first chapter and I could read the last chapter (save your breath - it's just who I am...deal with it). I have so much fun with Tiffany. We were at that stinkin' store for 2-3 hours but the time flew by. Good times. (please don't judge me on my appearance...I think I was home for a whole 10 minutes on Friday)
Saturday we bought our tickets to the So You Think You Can Dance Tour! WOOOHHOOOOOOO! Was that too loud? Then me and my posse went to see Mama Mia. Have I mentioned I love that movie? I did chicken out with the dancing and singing...but I couldn't remember half the words! Kristy knew them all - I was so impressed! I'm going to have to devote some time listening to the soundtrack.

When My Worlds Collide
Technically it's Sunday, but I expect tomorrow is going to be insane with it being the first day of school and I have lots to do so....my Music Monday this week is Jimmy Eat World. When I was in high school and college I was a little bit of a music snob. If everyone I knew was listening to something then I didn't want to hear it. Lame, I know. So it took me a while to jump on the Jimmy Eat World bandwagon. Boy, I'm glad I did. I love their music, Jim's voice, the lyrics. I've seen them around at shows and stuff (they are from AZ - Ian's bro Sean went to highschool with Jim) and am so happy to see them enjoy some success.
This is my favorite song off their most current album. And how happy was I to find this song set to imagines and scenes from the Twilight movie? Seriously! It's like my perfect storm. Note: this song is different from most of their music. Check them out on youtube or myspace.
P.S. Is it just me or is Aug. 2nd going to be AWESOME! Breaking Dawn is released and SYTYCD tour tickets go on sale. It might be too much happiness for one day. And since we didn't get a group to go to Mama Mia last weekend we will be going this Saturday afternoon if you want to join us :)
