Errrgg! Max's birthday addendum

I went back to edit my birthday post for Max because I realized I forgot to write some things and I couldn't edit the post either because of my stupid computer or because of bloggers new layout.  I think I need your help Christy.  Anyhow...

Sunday after church Ian took the boys over to his parents house.  They had pizza, brownies and fun!  Sean, Meg and Matthea were there too.  Nana and Papa gave Max a really cool bubble gun that is GIGANTIC and some money.  He has already spent some of the money on a nerf gun and enjoys shooting me in the butt.  I guess it's a big target :)

I was glad he got to celebrate over there and party since we didn't throw him one this year.

Superbowl!

We had Ian's family over to watch the Superbowl. When it started the only one in front of the tv was Max. It's no big surprise. That boy is a sports NUT! It doesn't matter if he's playing or watching (although he prefers to be playing) he loves sports!
The rest of us were in the kitchen, snacking.

Except Evan- who was dressed up, ready to go exploring outside.
Finally a few more people filtered into the living room to watch.

Xan took Matthea downstairs to play with Roxy.

Then Meg and I took the younger boys and Matthea to the park to play. They weren't really into the game.

I love spending time with Meg and Matthea. It was a fun day - especially since we celebrated Betty's birthday too. :)

Christmas at Nana and Papa's

We spent most of Christmas Day over at Ian's parents house. As soon as the boys got there they talked Sean into throwing the football around with them.
Matthea dressed up for the occasion. She looked adorable.
Evan fought crime as Indiana Jones.
I love Matthea's coat.
Dinner!

One of my favorite parts of Christmas was opening our crackers at the dinner table. Everyone got a toy, crown and joke in their cracker. We all took turns reading our jokes.

Max loves playing with Sugar and Spice.
Ian's dad is always the last one to finish eating. Sean and Ian decided to serve him.
Presents! We got Sean some mustache socks.
And John a custom made knife.
Ian's parents got the boys a megaphone. I have taken it upon myself to commandeer it. I think my neighbors would thank me.
We had a great Christmas - filled with family, fun, food and gifts.

p.s. Has anyone else noticed how far behind I am on this here blog? I'm going to to do my best to catch up so buckle up and hold on!

Easter in Pictures

Egg hunt at grandma & grandpa's:

I love this picture:

Grandpa gives the best underdogs!

Sunday morning the kids got their Easter baskets and then searched for eggs in the yard. They all still love to find and hide eggs. Later we went over to Ian's parents for Easter dinner and more egg hunts.

Max blowing up a rocket balloon at Nana & Papa's.

Matthea found all over her pink eggs (or rather Sean found them for her :) )

Evan found the golden egg! The other boys were jealous.

Playing target ball:

Ben pouting in a tree (Xander kept beating him at target ball).

My favorite part of Easter was Sunday morning when we all sat down together and watched Conference. I love being with my family.

Saturday Night

Saturday night Ian's parents invited us over. There was a big hubub (yeah, that's right) going on at a church near their house. They had tons of bouncy slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses, etc. and free ice-cream and snow cones. Is there anything better? To top it off there were fireworks! The boys all had a blast. I loved it because there were 4 adults and 4 children - that way everyone stayed safe and accounted for. It was nice to spend time with Ian's parents - they are such wonderful grandparents. We all had a blast.

I was surprised at how much Evan enjoyed the fireworks. He cried a little at first, but quickly got over it. He must have said "Nana, Papa, fycack (firecracker)" all the way home :)

P.S. Who do you think Max looks like in that picture?
