Lodge: the last day

Tuesday was our last day at the Lodge. In the morning, Hudson and Xander rescued a woodpecker from the garage. After they freed it, it perched on Xander's shoulder and stayed there a good 5 minutes. Ian was worried that it was injured, but after a little while it flew away. It was so cool. After that, we decided to take a trip to Greens Peak.

Note to self: I HATE driving up Greens Peak. At the top everyone but me went up the look out tower. I've been up there once and it sways when it's windy. No thanks.

We then walked a little ways to the look out.

Notice the boys and their sticks. Because a trip to the Lodge isn't successful unless you have a stick to carve, whittle and hit things (or people) with.

Hudson took a picture of us. I think my legs look fat but oh well, I'm over it. After that we packed up and headed home to the heat. It was a little depressing. We are already trying to figure out when we can get away to go up next. We all love it there.

That last picture is awesome! And your legs do not look fat. I think it is a great shot.

Great pictures! I think I remember that tower from years ago... Is Greens Peak where you go to see all the ladybugs? The woodpecker experience is pretty cool - and the picture is priceless.

Great family picture. And, NO, your legs do not look fat.
