Summer Days

 If you are a regular on this here blog, you know that I have my ups and I have my downs.  One thing I have learned over and over in the past few years is that I am responsible for my happiness.  I can't (and shouldn't) count on any one else to make me happy.  That being said...sometimes when I'm down I complain about it.  I was having one of my down days and my sister Kim stopped by with this puzzle.  I love it!  It makes me so happy.  In fact, I want to do it right now.  Thanks Kim!  You always brighten my day :)

 Swimming with friends also makes me happy.  We went swimming at the W fam's house.  Max and Max gave each other hugs.
 Pool basketball:

It's always fun to relax by the pool and have "girl" talk while the kids swim.

Good times.

Mom=fun maker

It is the last week before school starts and I have been attempting to do something fun with my kids each day.

On Monday night we all (except for Evan) went and saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I won't lie, I LOVED it. I loved the book better, but the movie was pretty awesome. Max did fall asleep - it's more for older kids and adults. Also, I cried when Dumbledore died. DUDE! He was like the father Harry never had. It was sad. And also, I saw a preview for The Lightning Thief! I screamed, "Woohoo!" Ian was embarrassed but I love those Percy Jackson books. Sorry if the last few sentences made no sense to you.

On Tuesday I took the kids and Joe (my nephew) to Hamilton Pool. It's never good when 5 minutes after you arrive you hear, "Can Sheri Trezise please report to the life guard station". The sad thing was I didn't even bat an eye lash. I just calmly walked over. It turns out Xander hit his head on the side of the pool - he was fine. The best part was watching Max and Ben help Evan down the kiddie slide. It was so cute.

Today Ian had off so we took the boys to Big Surf. Right now they have a deal where if you go after 2 pm you get in for $10 a person (Evan was only $3). We stayed until closing. The worst part was when Ben got mad and ran off. After 15 minutes of searching, he came back. The best part was my kids. They all LOVED it. Max was the cutest. He even went down the scariest slide (even though he wasn't tall enough Ian got him on). I went down with Max and about died. Apparently I am now clastrophobic and get motion sickness really easy. Man, I'm old. I was content to watch Evan play in the kiddie areas. He would go down a slide and then stop himself before the end so he could jump in the water. That boy is all about jumping. He's crazy. But he had a blast and never once wanted to get out.

Is it me, or did summer fly by?
