I had a whole other post planned for today. It involved Ian and I answering questions about each other (which we did, last night). The scary (or maybe good) thing is: we pretty much know all about each other. That's what 14 years of marriage does. We know each other's favorite book, band, movie, food, dessert...all those super important things (at least my kids think so). But most importantly we know that we still not only love each other, but like each other too. We know that we have each other's back. And that we're in it for the long haul.
And nothing makes me happier.
p.s. my super talented sister in law Tricia took the picture. It was amazing what she got in a 30 minute photo shoot - she's the best!

Good Times
Tomorrow Ian and I will have been married for 13 years.
Hey Ian (the rest of you can read if you want),
-remember when you, me and Kim drove to San Francisco to see Nate off? And I kept falling asleep? And we saw the Golden Gate Bridge and on the way back stopped to see Steve? That was a good time.
-Or remember the time when we were at that party at Jason's and you were massaging that girl's back and I got mad and then you went back in and let her massage your back? That was a bad time.
-Or how we used to hike "Hole in the Rock" and make out? And that one time you told me how every boy in your family was named John? Good time.
-Or the time you were "cleaning" out Xander's ear and he abruptly moved and you made his ear drum bleed? Bad time.
-Remember that after the Green Day concert we were sitting in my car and I said "I love you" (totally on accident) and then you said, "What did you say?" and I said, "I said, 'Olive Juice'." I don't think you were fooled. I count that as a good time.
-When we went skiing/snowboarding at Snowbird and you spent the day with me even though I was slower and a little sick. I hated that onion soup you ordered for me (even though I told you to get it). Good and bad time.
-Or that time on my birthday when you took me to see the Brady Bunch Movie. I know you think of this as a bad time but I got alot of mileage out of that. Therefore, good time.
-I remember you in the delivery room with each of our 4 boys, trying to help in any way possible (cleaning up my throw up when I was about to have Xander was going the extra mile). And you always cut the cord. Even though you didn't want to.
The good times totally out weigh the bad (I stayed up last night and counted).
I love you! Happy 13th Anniversary!
