I really don't know why we don't play our Beatles Rockband all of the time. We all love it.
Last weekend we had a full house of boys. I was a little worried about keeping them all entertained...but luckily I had the foresight to get a new Wii controller at Target earlier that day so that we could hook up Rockband.
All of the boys loved it.
Even Evan - who was dancing around and singing.
It did get a little loud...but who cares?
We all had a blast!
The boys and I are already thinking about our next Rockband party.
The next morning I took some of the boys with me to Bosa for doughnuts. Ben, Christian and Ian stayed home. When we got back, they had the highest scores. I guess the magic combination is Ben on guitar, Christian on drums (of course) and Ian on vocals. Now I think I need to add another guitar for Rockband to my Christmas list. That way someone can play bass and someone can play guitar. I can't wait!
I did try guitar, but liked vocals much better. I think that has something to do with me having no pride. And not caring how horribe I sounded. Because dude, I got to sing Drain You (Nirvana), The Middle (Jimmy Eat World), Today (Smashing Pumpkins) and Whatcha, Whatcha Want (Beastie Boys). I even won an award. A good one (I think). I was so bad, but man I felt like a rock star.
That was one of the funnest New Year's Eves EVER. Even though I went home early with the little kids, I still had a blast. And I owe it all to Rock Band. I'm saving up to buy it. Because a family that plays Rock Band together, stays together.
